As a kid I enjoyed many sports, but now I'm older I enjoy many traditional crafts as well as cooking and gardening, and I am a horror movie fan. I'm happy to make any occasion special by cooking dinner in keeping with the event - Irish stew on St Patrick's Day, pasties on St Pirans, pies in Pi Day and as many different meats as possible on Darwin Day. I have also entertained myself by cooking dishes from all of the nations in the Football and Rugby World Cups. Surfice to say, I love to cook. More recently I have been perfecting baking particularly brownies and carrot cake. I also like to preserve foraged produce most successfully making elderflower cordial and sloe vodka, and growing my own vegetables. Having learn to cross stitch from my Nan and Mum, I have recently learnt to crochet and knit. This has progressed to amigurumi and I'm teaching myself tatting. |
